About Me

Hi! My name is Terri. Thanks for stopping by!

My Profession:

I find great satisfaction in working with students….and their parents….as well as with other teachers. I love the process of learning, and especially watching the light turn on when others discover it for themselves! I have enjoyed a life-long career of being an educator, for decades. In that time, I have worked in public schools, private schools, homeschooling communities, and in private practice. My private work with families is still a very present part of my life. My student base has included kindergartners through adults, and every level in between, people who learn best in all different kinds of ways.  In addition to my bachelor’s in liberal studies, I hold three credentials: a multiple subjects credential, a special education credential, and a resource specialist certification. My master’s degree is in special education.

My Personal Side:

I am a Jesus follower. My faith deeply impacts how I perceive myself, how I view others, and how I approach things; yet, I never feel like I am done learning about my Maker and His ways. I have been married since 1995 to a man who is STILL handsome, supportive, intelligent, quick-witted, godly, and whose first love was art. We were blessed to have the opportunity to raise a girl and a boy, who are now both adults, and are also both incredibly creative, smart, funny, and expressive in their own unique ways. When a school year nears its end, I like to garden, which is always a new learning experience for me. Projects involving photographs are very fun for me too.  Weird as it may sound, I also LOVE to organize things…..stuff, words, and even ideas.
