Description
Diphthongs are phonics patterns which when we pair two letters together, a new unique sound is made but the sound changes mid-way through the mouth formation. This deck contains 3 diphthong sounds and 5 different spelling patterns. They are: oi/oy as in “foil”, ou/ow as in “cow”, and oo as in “book”. There are 15 different words to play with and 2 of each word, making 30 playing cards in all. The deck box also includes directions for 3 suggested games to play.
